 Subject: door lock problem

my drivers door lock wont lock,the lock rod wont go up or down but the lock motor still works it seems like the lock rod is seized up and i want to fix it but i dont know what i have to replace.them whole lock mechanizem on the door dont seem to do anything when i try to lock and unlock if anyone has had the same problem please let me know so i can fix it.
