Body lift is the only option you have, they dont make anything else for your truck, on the other hand go to www.walt-n-ingrid.com and look at how Walt lifted his 89, but you better have mad skills, and some dough.

First Dakota I had was a 89' model,friend and I did the 3" body lift in about 4 hours in his shop,worked great,ran 31x10.5 Swampers.(V6 was a bit dogged)

1990 sport RC SB, 1995 318drivetrain, 3.92 gears (came with truck) Powertrax "traction system", 95 dash/steering wheel, hearthrob exhaust, headers, cutout after y-pipe, necessary electric fan add-a-leafs, 30x9.5 mud tires, cranked T-bars, AR 39 15x8 rims, grill guard, roll bars

Thats why I got the V8 magnum now,with a few mods should be able to EASILY handle 31" or 33" tires.

no problem with 3.92s

Think'in 'bout sellin the Dakota,guess someone screwed up my wiring;heater,radio,interior lights dont work.Somtimes my gauge lights/tail lights wont come on either.Checked fuses TWICE.

Actually YES you can do ADD A LEAFS they are CHEAP about $100pr depending on the brand.

Good news,got my interior/radio/power mirrors working,it was the fuse under the hood.My dash/tail lights DO NOT WORK,very annoying since I drive to work at 5am!!Jury rigged some "tail lights" for the local fuzz,BUT I'm pretty sure its the switch,so I am gonna put one in.(Local shop wanted $100 to do this!!)

get some 2x3 steel tubing and cut it into 2" lengths and drill your bolt hole either direction and you can have 2 or 3 inchs in lift

Great advice kodiak,OR use 3" "boat" rollers,they are hard rubber,cut out the shield for the fan,add 2-3" rod to the "donward" shift linkage,get some hose for the gas fill,extend the t-case shifter ...that should do it!

Well I put that headlight switch into my 95' Dakota 4x4 V8 from out of my "donor" vehicle (92' Ramcharger 4x4 V8)perfect match,now my lights WORK!!
