Whats all this talk about Dodge Dakotas. Dont get me wrong, I doo make some cash off of them either when I am pulling them out of the mud or if I am racing them for a few bucks at the track. My favorites are the 5.2's, they're delicious! Come on kids, drop the dodges and get youself a bowtie, you thank me for it. And if you dont get it let my simplefy it, Dodge SUCKS, nough' said!

Hey Z71 boy, I have personally owned, maintenenced and run close to 70 Cheby 2wd Pickups, Some were custom and some were stock. My body shop purchased 5 EVERY year as collision chase trucks, all loaded silverados, from 1984 - 1998. Speak to anyone from Texas and they will know what I mean. (They still chase accidents there) Some were 454 long beds, 350 sport short beds, I had 3 SS 454's in 1990. etc. The main reason I bought them at that time was that they were cheap! The reason I bought 5 EVERY year was that they were shit, allways at the dealer or in the shop for repairs. Yes they were fast but for my personal vehicle I choose Dodge. Fast & reliable, not like an broken rusting Cheby!

Yeah Right, I dont beleive a word of that and I have an 89 Silverado sitting out front right now with just under 217,000 miles on that says my Chevy was built to last and Dodge.....well lets just say I can afford to put my self through college on what I make giving Dodges atow, a jump, or just a lift. Speaking of lift, it must suck to have so few options on lifting a 4x4 or 2x4 Dakota. Like I said, get a Chevy!

Please! They call a Z-71 a sport truck. That's like calling an 83 Caddy a sports coupe. Get in your oversized hooptie. We've got better size than any S-10 and the power of the full size. Why don't you visit your Z-71 board at www.beaterz.com

Well I'm not really interested in lifting and trashing it in the dirt it anyways, but then again if I were driving a Cheby I would rather stay in the mud & dirt so I wouldn't be embarased on the street. So yea, I guess there is a strong market for lifting one, to keep those Cheby's in the dirt. Oh... and mabe in 15 years or so, when you grow up, you'll realize that a Dodge is a better value for your dollar. Oh thats right your truck is was used right? Figures ...

He he he he. I still have a Dodge for you to fear. I have owned a Chevy and it literally fell apart with my abuse. 2 clutches, head, transmission, fan came off and went through the radiator on a 2nd new engine with only 6,000 miles on it. This all happened in one year!! and I sold it while it was running well but had my fingers cross it wouldn't fall apart while a buyer test drove it. My last Dodge took the $hit I dished out for 2 and a half years and I traded in a year and a half early on the lease with no penalty.I mean I ran the snot out of it and it sounded and looked like the day I got it. It will be all Dodge from here on besides you truck is UGLY!!!!!!!!

You keep talking the talk. I will destroy every Z71 I can find for you. The day I lose to a Z71 is the day I buy my super charger. That is the only way other than nitrous 300hp shot LOL or in your dreams you can touch my Dodge on the track you moron with a Cheby Ha ha ha

Isn't this a Dakota board anyways?? Mabye I should go find a Cheby board and scare the $hit out of you guys with my bad ass Dak. I know some Cheby owners, actually decent guys but they won't dare run my Dak and it's near bone stock right now. You have to respect them for their brains and honesty even if they drive a Cheby

Strange, I have pulled out more Chevys with my Fords than any other truck. Second would be toyotas. Dont recall ever having pulled out a dodge. I have pulled out a lot of vehicles in my day. Seems that these chevy "guys" seem to think their trucks are invinceable and jusy try to drive through anything any way anywhere. Thats why they get stuck in almost anything everywhere. I have onwed 1 GM made vehicle in my entire life and one will never have my name on the registration of one again. They have the resale value of a used toothpick. My dak is good enough that I dont "need" to do a lot of things to it to make it better. There I things I will do to it because I want to but not because I need to. I'll put my Dak up against a chevy anyday, anywhere, anytime. You come down here to the beach and lets see how the mighty Z71 does. Tell you what. I'm going to the beach monday, Ill take pictures of every truck I pull out and we will see just what the save's consist of brand wise.

OK. Like that's a challenge. Give it a rest you bought a peice of shi.. truck and your stuck with it. Your only hope is that I slip 1st gear which wouldn't matter because I would be all over and pass you in 2 seconds unless of course I puncture my tires on all the shi.. parts falling off your truck or your secretly running a Hemi but that turn your peice of shi.. drive line and trans to a sauce so it better be a Chevy body on a complete Dodge chassis.

Had a Chevy so beleive me I know about parts falling off. God damn fan flew off and went through my rad. Never again will I own such a slow peice of shi..

Glad to hear the dak boys are ready! I do plan on getting a new truck most likely a Dak, depending on price. I would like to start with a clean "slate". That way I could be sure of what happened to the truck and I could also break it in with conventional oil and then switch to a synthetic.

Yeah, I know. I wont be getting a new truck until this fall so it will probably be a 2002 model and if I am lucky, I may get the dakota. I might even save up and wait an extra month or two for the dak. I will just have to test drive a few different brands and see what each has to offer before I make my final decision. Its alot of money to be spending and I really cant afford to be loyal to one brand over another. I will say one thing is for sure.....NO RICE!!!!!

Aww, come on guys...

I loved my old Chevy! Of course, I built the engine and only paid $50 for it... :0)

To be honest, I think the Chevy 350 4-bolt is one of the best engines out there. I've yet to see one that's failed with less than 150,000 miles on it. We've had two that went 200,000+ with only minor problems (One is still going, other we sold to the neihbor, who ran it out of oil and spun a bearing. Still ran though).

But, honestly? My Dak is better on and off road than ANY Chevy or Ford! I've had her so buried in mud that only the top of the cab was visible under it! Just held on and hit the gas, she bounced right on through! Been airborne, been sideways, been in the mud. Ain't ever been stuck though... hm... SUMMER PROJECT! *L*

You guys might not like this post but My Honda CRX has just kept running and running and practically nothing has gone wrong with it other than typical 11 year old problems. I went on a road trip to Florida with my rex, a friend in his '93 S-10, and his dad in a Ram. And it was funny watching them pour the money into the gas stations. Gotta love getting 35+ mpg when you are going from Ohio to Florida.

I'll have my CRX till the day I die.

(I will be getting a dakota after college so dont think i hate these trucks or not, but the CRX will be on reserve just incase the gas sky rockets again)
