Impatiently I am waiting for the 69 or 70mm TB. There is probably enough people here to get a group buy just for the 4.7 owners.
How many would be interested in group buy?
Maybe we can set this up as soon as they come out so we don't have to wait at all.

Bernd should probably be involved with this, right?
I believe he is in communication with Flowmetrics on their development and testing.
Also, those with non-stock intakes need to know your cold-air intake won't mate up with the new TB, though I believe something is already ongoing with IntensePerformance for a z-tube adaptor and possible kit with a new TB and custom made z-tube.
BTW, what engine mods are needed for the 70mm -vs- 69mm TB, obviously, the 70mm would seem to offer the better 'bang for buck' option.

I was never trying to take this group buy away from Bernd or anyone else. I was just seeing if we had enough for a group buy right away. I think that we do. I talked to F&B about 2 months ago, they have the adapter for the Z-tube and they have their own intake which is the best with the new TB.

(1) Yes, SpeedTweaks is involved with Flometrics on the initial release to the public (along with two or three other vendors)
(2) No, your aftermarket or factory intake will fit (adapter supplied with the kit)
(3) 69mm vs. 70mm - Both have substantial gains over the factory TB. 70mm will be mainly for the higher revving 4.7's (with rev-limiter removed via custom PCM programming)
(4) John Watkins is a very busy person but there is talk between us on a custom Z-Tube for the Flometrics TB's.

Folks,
Just about everyone with a 4.7L is waiting on the release of the Flometrics 69mm TB. However, please hang tight and let's not rush Bruce (Flometrics) on the final delivery date. I keep in touch with him on a twice-a-week basis and the release isn't much longer (1-2 weeks).
We will not have a group buy but rather a introductory offer instead. Once the product is in circulation for some time, then we will have a chance to offer a group buy...but not until Flometrics give us the go-ahead.

Here's the scoop:
The 4.7L Billet Throttle body has a 4" opening with a small velocity stack built into the opening. There will be an adapter included with the kit to adapt the factory intake (or aftermarket intake) to the new throttle body.
Some good news: We have worked out a deal with Intense Performance to offer a custom 4" Intake tube with the 4.7L Billet Throttle Body.
Pricing has not been set at this time from the manufacturer.
We will be offering two different kits for this:
(1) Flometrics 4.7L Billet Throttle Body
(2) Flometrics 4.7L Billet Throttle Body w/Custom Intake Tube and filter
There will be no group buy on this but rather an introductory price for 30 days after the initial release of the product.

Nothing on pricing from Flometrics yet but the release is supposed to be within the next week or two.
I do have Intense Performance on my list of vendors as well as pricing from them.
Seperately, the custom tube for the Flometrics TB is $250 w/filter...this is a custom 4" Z-Tube for the 4.7L crowd.

I'll hace accurate pricing as soon as I hear from Flometrics. Initial "guesstimates" are:
$395-$410 on the 4.7L TB
$250 for the custom Intake Tube system
I've got to figure out the promotional pricing and quantity available on the initial release though. Waiting for the TB's to arrive now. :)
