Jonas,
It's now been 15 days since we placed the order with Katzkin. 10 business days have went by. I really would like to know what is going on with my order. Please follow up with them, again, and put some pressure on them to give you a status. Here's a quote from their website ... "Katzkin maintains a separate computer for each service to facilitate order tracking."
And another ... "Katzkin's customer staff fields hundreds of calls per day, assisting clientele with color, style, shipping, and technical information. Our computer systems are continuously updated to provide information and insure minimal errors in the ordering process."
Based on those comments, I don't believe you spoke with the right person at Katzkin the last time you inquired about the order. If they're that modernized they should be able to give you a better update than "the order is processing".
If they told you to take care of any customer service issues immediately (from one of your prior emails), then they should have no problem giving you the EXACT status of the order.
A little discomfort is expected with a group buy. But not when the company the group buy is with cannot follow through on statements it claims on its website.

To make a long story short, the order that we thought was placed really wasn't. Some problems with the retailer that Katzkin put Jonas through. I was assured that the order has now been placed.
Did you have leather on order took, Bluethunder?

Alright guys...let's keep the language some what clean on the board.
I understand your frustration as i've been through it myself...being a supplier, it's even harder when the customer want his stuff, the manufacturer is delaying the product, and you're caught in the middle.
As posted in another thread...i'll see what I can do to find out the status of your order Roberto.

Here's the info from Jonas:
All leather orders will have shipped by Thursday AM and the 1st orders placed will ship on Wednesday. Tracking numbers will be sent to each respective individual.
Credit Card orders will not be charged until they are shipped. This means that no money has been taken from your account until the product has shipped.

Well, I see my credit card has been charged for the leather ... so I can only assume that means it has been shipped.

Well I received mine yesterday... Saw the cow print box yesterday at lunch. Front seats are already installed; just working away at the paneling now. Dark Graphite and Bone two tone, should look quite nice when finished.
That shipping took a whole lot less time than I thought it would. Made it to Hawaii in less than a day??

Hey just got off the phone with Jonas
and I've got to say that he must be the nicest
most helpful person i've talked to in a while...
I got my leathrt today and he explained the delay and walk me step by step thru the instructions
to install these...
I just wanna say thank you Jonas for your help and making my Dakota a better truck.

You can check out leatherseats.com for a little how-to guide on installing...
Basically the front seats were a no brainer.
To do the doors and club cab panels, remove all the panels (ie gut the interior), lay the vinyl over each portion of the velour, trim and prepare to spray adhesive.
I used a 3M Adhesive 90, sprayed and let it tack up. Then I put the vinyl over each velour portion and began to work the vinyl up under the edges with a plastic putty knife. Not too sharp of an edge.
To do the backrests, I removed the rear wall and did the same procedure on my work table.
Its a lot easier to work with the panel in your lap, but I did the doors and rear sidewalls still in the cab. Total time was about 2.5 hours.
30 minutes for the front buckets :) I did that during lunch yesterday...
